Maintenance Technician
Summary:
The General Maintenance employee services and repairs both electrical and mechanical equipment.
The General Maintenance employees also assists with line installations as well as facility maintenance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintain plant equipment and facilities with the assistance of wiring diagrams, schematics, manufacturing manuals, work orders and drawings.
- Plan and layout installations to complete projects timely and within budget parameters.
- Ensure all maintenance work meets all applicable code requirements.
- Maintain current working knowledge in the following areas:
Programmable Logic Controls (PLC s), Robotics, Servo and AC/DC drives. - Troubleshoot both electrical and mechanical components of equipment to reduce or eliminate downtime.
- Install or modify programs and equipment as required with appropriate approval.
- Maintain electrical schematics and spare parts inventory in order to minimize downtime.
- Perform preventative maintenance (PM s) on electrical cabinets, controls, mechanical equipment, and forklifts to reduce frequency and cost of downtime.
- Recommend solutions to major equipment failures.
- Follow-up on maintenance work orders with production to ensure problem resolution.
- Perform work following defined work procedures and safety protocols with limited supervision.
Assist with waste handling and shipping as needed. - Other duties as assigned
Education and/or Experience
- High school diploma and/or GED
Skills and Abilities
- Working knowledge of related code regulations (ie National Electric Code)
- Working knowledge of PLC s, servo drives, and robotics
- Working knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems preferred
Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations
- State certified Journeyman certification
Or
- 3
years of electrical/mechanical maintenance work in an industrial environment
Or
- 1
years of industrial experience with Company and willingness to enter Company sponsored Apprenticeship program.
Work Environment
This position will perform work in a plant environment.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
