Vehicle Description This '49 Ford has been owned for the past 14 years (or so) by its' current, senior owner who has aged out of the hobby.
It is in good running condition with just over 31k original miles! Driven for approx.
10 years when new, it was stored in 1959 for decades.
This Club Coupe is very AUTHENTIC and still retains the original, 239 cubic inch flathead V8, original rear axle with 4:
11 gear and has been upgraded with a built C4 automatic transmission and new torque converter.
Additionally, it features a Lokar floor shifter/selector.
A great deal of care was used when replacing or upgrading various components to maintain an original look and feel (note original safety inspection sticker on windshield from 1954).
All brake hardware (4 wheel, original drum) has been replaced or serviced, wheel bearings have been inspected/repacked, 6 volt has been replaced with 12 volt electrical and features Pertronix ignition, fuel tank/pump have been replaced, radiator hoses and brake master cylinder have been replaced and more.
The interior was professionally upholstered (including headliner) and utilizes stock seats, glass packs give the old V8 a proper rumble and shifts are swift and tight with the C4 trans.
FYI- front and rear suspension has been lowered, vacuum operated wipers are not funtional as line was used for trans.

Engine is fed by middle carb only and responds/runs very nicely under any throttle conditions.
Much documentation supports the recent history of this wonderful shoebox Ford with its bulletnose grill.
