Vehicle Description The Oldsmobile Toronado was first introduced in 1966 and featured many technologies not common to vehicles from that era such as an automatic front wheel drive transaxle, torsion bar front suspension and unibody construction.
This 1968 example was purchased by its current owner almost 30 years ago and has been extensively reworked with an emphasis on more horsepower and less weight while paying tribute to the Hurst Olds.
Notable features include a multi stage, show quality paint job, custom/professionally upholstered bucket seating, a custom dashboard and center console, a professionally built 455 Rocket V8 (documented/blue printed), Hurst accessories, and much more.
Accompanied by extensive records detailing its build (multiple binders with all records), this Toronado is now being offered by its seller out of Ohio, having covered approximately 1,600 miles since its completion in 2017, it IS sorted.
There are NO known issues with the performance or function of any systems on this build.
This 1968 example is finished in a custom multi-stage shade of white with accent stripe and a white vinyl roof.
The seller notes that all body panels and glass retain their original dimensions and that all brightwork and trim remain OE or OE-style.
Additionally, the seller takes pride in the fact that this car has never been wet because of Mother Nature or from a garden hose, it is nearly spotless.

Details include Hurst badging on the fender and at the rear, dual polished exhaust outlets, and a custom ram-air intake system incorporated into the headlights/grill, specifically made and machined to allow for clearance under the stock hood.

The cabin has been completely reupholstered in white vinyl including the front bucket seats, rear bench, door panels, and headliner.
